Earlier this month, Executive Chair Monique Nelson joined a historic U.S. Department of Commerce delegation for the Global Diversity Export Initiative (GDEI) Trade Mission to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The two-day mission held December 8–9, brought together 26 women- and minority-led U.S. businesses to explore trade and partnership opportunities in one of the world’s most dynamic markets.
Led by the International Trade Administration, the mission included sector briefings, one-on-one meetings with commercial diplomats, and in-depth discussions with Saudi industry leaders. Participants represented a diverse mix of industries, from technology and healthcare to design and consumer goods, aligned with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, an ambitious initiative to diversify the Saudi economy and empower new sectors and communities.
This mission marks a significant step forward in our global expansion, following growth in Africa and Canada. From Riyadh, Monique brought back insights and new connections across entertainment, tech, and consumer sectors, areas where UWG’s experience in culturally relevant storytelling and data-driven strategy can drive impact.
By participating in this GDEI mission, UWG reaffirms its role as a global leader in multicultural marketing, committed to elevating diverse voices and forging connections that shape the future of inclusive commerce.
